Sensory-stimulating foot and seating cushion
Protac GroundMe® is a sensory-stimulating foot and seating cushion that provides good support for the feet. The balls in the top layer of the cushion stimulate the sense of touch and the muscle-joint sense through deep and dynamic touch-pressure and help to quiet restless feet. The foot cushion can be used when working, eating, or relaxing.
Protac GroundMe® alleviates physical unrest, learning difficulties and sharpens concentration.
The foot pad is suitable for both children and adults, and benefits people with ADHD, autism, dementia, and Restless Legs Syndrome.
Protac GroundMe® is also used as a floor cushion for smaller children, for example in institutions and Primary School. The touch-pressure and movement of the balls promote calmness and focus.

Specialized therapists use Protac GroundMe® as an aid to motor-skill training. It can, for example, be used as part of an obstacle course, where balance and coordination skills are challenged.
Design and sizes
Protac GroundMe® has a foam base and is stable and steady on any surface. The upper layer consists of loose plastic balls under a cleanable outer cover. Carrying straps make it easy to transport the cushion. When not in use, it can be hung up. Protac GroundMe® is available in two heights and in different colors.

Protac GroundMe® can be advantageously combined with the Protac Ball Cushion ™ and Protac KneedMe® if further stimulation of the sense of touch and the muscle-joint sense is needed.

9-year-old girl with ADHD
The girl uses Protac GroundMe® for homework and meals, as she has difficulty sitting still and being present in these situations: "I notice that her behavior becomes calmer, and she is more present when she uses the foot cushion. For once, she sits properly on the chair, where she typically is extremely restless and sometimes must give up on eating the meal as she cannot remain seated on the chair. The foot cushion provides her enough calmness to stick with what she is doing."
High maintenance boy in kindergarden
The boy tries The Protac Ball Cushion® on a high-chair and it helps him to sit more calmly. Then he also is given the Protac GroundMe® under his feet, which helps him become significantly more attentive and calmer and allows him to follow along with what is happening around the table.
Two boys with motor unrest in kinder garden
We have two boys who especially benefit from the foot cushion . They concentrate better and can finish an entire melting beads design, which they otherwise never do. We also use Protac GroundMe® for assembly, which always takes place on the floor. When they sit on the GroundMe® cushion, they can remain seated with the rest of us, without having to run around, and they participate more actively.
WASHING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Protac GroundMe® cushions can be washed. The regularity and need for washing depends on use. See below for washing and cleaning instructions.Protac GroundMe®
The cover (with balls inside) can be washed in a min. 6 kg capacity washing machine with detergent with no bleaching agents - see also the washing instructions on the cover.
· The foam element cannot be washed.
· The enclosed laundry bag must be used.
To remove spots using a spot remover, always try first on an area which is not visible to test for damage or discolouring. Protac does not recommend the use of spot remover.
Protac cannot be held liable for incorrect washing and maintenance.
Maintenance
